The support person

The law offers you the ability to designate a "support person" who can be a parent, a relative or a referring physician.
A form will be handed to you for that purpose in the department.
The support person can be (or not) different from the person to notify that you have designated during your admission in the institution.
Missions of the support person:
• The support person may accompany you in your representations and attend the medical interviews in order to assist you in your decisions; she plays therefore, with your agreement, a support and advice role.
• If your state of health does not allow you more to express your desire, the support person will be kept informed in priority and will be consulted by the medical team; her role is only advisory she can in any case decide for you.
